Our methodology

Pixbid is a one-million-pixel advertising grid sold at auction, paired with live topic rankings ("best SEO agency", "best web host"…). This page explains, in full transparency, how these rankings are built, what they are and what they are not.

How the ranking is built

Visibility is bought at auction. To appear on a grid, an advertiser takes one or more cells by bidding. The more they bid, the harder their cell is to take back. This is ad space buying, clearly stated.

Rank, however, is earned through real clicks. The order does not depend on the amount paid: it is determined by the real clicks of visitors on each listing. The listing that draws the most clicks rises. Nobody buys first place.

Reset every month. The click count resets to zero on the 1st of each month at midnight (Paris time), so the ranking stays live and recent.

Anti-bot protection. A single visitor counts at most one click per hour and per advertiser, with a dwell-time check. Automated traffic is filtered out of the count.

What this ranking is not

It is not an editorial review. We do not claim to have "tested" or "recommended" the listed companies. There is no rating and no subjective evaluation from us.

First place cannot be bought. An advertiser can buy visibility (a cell), never rank: rank is earned through visitor clicks.

No fake reviews. No invented reviews, no fabricated testimonials.

Transparency about links

Some links are affiliate links, always marked "(affiliate link)". They influence neither the price paid by the advertiser nor their position, which depends only on clicks.

Forbidden content on the grid: political, religious, adult, illegal, scam, link shorteners.

An SEO testing lab

Pixbid is also a search-experimentation space. For research and measurement, part of the observed traffic may come from experimentation visits, including automated ones or via agents. These visits are used only for testing and measurement: they are not counted in the clicks attributed to advertisers, which remains subject to the anti-fraud rules above.

Take part

Taking a cell is done directly from each grid: you choose your spot, your bid, your image and your link. Any cell can then be taken back by an advertiser who bids more. Nothing is ever permanently owned, and that is what gives the ranking its value.
